- Debian changelog in Git:
marisa (0.3.1+git20250817-3) unstable; urgency=medium
* debian/tests/{perl,ruby}: Run the binding samples from
$AUTOPKGTEST_TMP like the python3 test already does, so that no
binding test can pick up modules from the unpacked source tree.
(Closes: #1063818)
* debian/tests/control: Depend on pkgconf instead of the obsolete pkg-
config.
* Bump debhelper compat to 14; drop the relationship substvars that
are now applied automatically.
* debian/rules: Rework the build of the language bindings:
+ Generate and build the SWIG bindings in a copy inside the CMake
build directory, so the source tree is never modified. Drop the
bindings/tests backup and restore hack (#1047554, #1049679) that
this made necessary.
+ Build the Perl binding with debhelper's perl_makemaker build
system and avoid the build-time RUNPATH, so chrpath is no longer
needed.
+ Install all bindings into debian/tmp and list them in .install
files.
+ Build the Python 3 binding with pybuild's pyproject plugin instead
of the deprecated "setup.py install". New patch 0007 adds a minimal
pyproject.toml to bindings/python3. python3-marisa now ships
.dist-info metadata instead of .egg-info.
* libmarisa-perl: Stop installing benchmark.pl into the Perl module
directory.
* ruby-marisa: Install the extension into Ruby's vendor directory
instead of the directory that belongs to libruby.
