  * debian/control: Move package description to source package section.
  * debian/control: Fix typo in package description.

  * debian/patches/0001-Explicitly-set-version.patch: Dropped.
    debian/rules now passes the upstream version to the in-tree build
    backend through PDM_BUILD_SCM_VERSION, set only for dh_auto_build so
    that it does not change the version of the scm test projects.
  * debian/rules: Stop ignoring tests/pdm/backend/hooks/version/test_scm.py.
    Export GIT_AUTHOR_* and GIT_COMMITTER_* so that the git tests can
    commit.
  * debian/patches/0003-tests-conftest.py-Also-init-git-config-first.patch:
    Dropped, superseded by the git identity exported in debian/rules.
  * debian/rules, debian/fakehome/: Drop the fake writable $HOME. It was
    only needed for the "git config --global" calls, which are gone; the
    dh_auto_* helpers already provide a writable $HOME since compat 13.
  * debian/control: Build-Depends on mercurial <!nocheck> for the hg scm
    tests.
  * debian/control: Drop python3-boolean, python3-cerberus,
    python3-license-expression, python3-pyparsing and
    python3-validate-pyproject from Build-Depends and Depends;
    pdm-backend does not use any of them.
  * Bump debhelper compat to v14; drop now-implicit ${misc:Depends} and
    ${python3:Depends}.
  * debian/upstream/metadata: Add upstream metadata.
  * debian/tests/autopkgtest-pkg-python.conf: Dropped; autodep8 does not
    read it for the autopkgtest-pkg-pybuild test suite.
  * debian/README.Debian: Describe the current dh-python behaviour,
    including that repack suffixes are kept in PDM_BUILD_SCM_VERSION, and
    drop the section about dh-python older than 6.20240603.
  * debian/copyright: Match the upstream copyright year.
  * debian/watch: Mangle upstream pre-releases (aN, bN, rcN) to ~aN etc.
